For a correction, include the page address or article title, the passage in question, and the evidence that helps clarify it. A source reference is useful when a factual claim needs review. Please distinguish a factual correction from a difference in preference or interpretation.
Story and conversation ideas
Describe the question a story would examine and why it matters. Tell us what record, experience, or object would support the discussion. A specific idea about one decision, document, or historical question is easier to evaluate than a broad promotional introduction.
Do not send tobacco products, payment information, or unsolicited sensitive personal details. An email is enough to begin an editorial conversation. Do not include private information about another person without an appropriate reason and their permission.
Permissions and attribution
For a question about quoting an article or using site artwork, identify the material and explain the intended use. Material mentioned or linked from an external source may have its own rights and conditions; our ability to discuss it does not imply ownership of it.
What happens when you email
